Smoke Damage Cleanup Process

Assessment & Testing

We identify the type of soot (dry, wet, protein or fuel oil) and map all affected areas including hidden residue in wall cavities, behind fittings and in HVAC systems.

HEPA Vacuuming

Loose soot and ash are removed using HEPA-filtered vacuum systems before any wet cleaning begins. This prevents soot from being driven deeper into surfaces.

Chemical Sponge Cleaning

Specialist chemical (dry) sponges lift soot from walls, ceilings and woodwork without water, which can smear soot and make it permanent.

Wet Cleaning & Degreasing

For wet or protein soot, we use specialist degreasers and cleaning solutions to remove greasy residue from surfaces.

HVAC & Duct Cleaning
